I must confess, this book is not as enjoyable as I had expected. The world of design encompasses more than just graphic design. Design is all around us but few stop to think that SOMEONE designed it, whatever it is. He chuckled and pointed out that, back in 1989 (when he wrote the seminal The Design of Everyday Things), there was no HCI. It is about the psychology and physiology that underlies. I finally read Donald Norman's The Design of Everyday Things because the book is recommended for my upcoming Graduate Design Seminar class. This book (originally titled The Psychology of Everyday Things) gives a thorough explanation of what differentiates good design from poor design.
